Net localgroup Administrators /add networkservice press enter then type: net localgroup Administrators /del localservice press enter then type. Adds, displays, or modifies local groups. Used without parameters, net localgroup displays the name of the server and the names of local.
Hi guys, hope you are all well.Guys, im stumped.
I have a windows 7 box that is joined to our domain, and I have logged on with a domain admin account.
I want to add a group to the local admins group through running the following:
net localgroup administrators /add groupname
It gives me a System error 5 occurred. Access denied.
If I type in a bogus group that does not exist, it still gives me the above message.
Interestingly, if I try the same thing by doing the following:
1.Going into Mycomputer > Manage > Users and computers, this works.
2.Also, if I do a Run as Administrator, this works.
But I have logged on to the system with domain admins, so why is it prompting me to run the command prompt as administrator?
Any help greatly appreciated.
